چکیده

Purpose. To develop a complex system for technical diagnostics of soil hydrotechnical structures irrigation systems operative identification damaged sites, reduction nonproduction water losses, and maintaining ecological economic efficiency the hydroeconomic national in context food security. Methodology. The result represented scientific study is reached by application geophysical methods Earth’s natural pulse electromagnetic field (NPEMFE) vertical electrical sounding (VES). That allows determining qualitative indices parameters sites filtration paths. Mathematical quantitative losses are applied. Analytical technoeconomic comparison some most widely used with techniques proposed performed. Findings. Field studies analytical calculations helped determine that, depending on design retention basins modes their operations, from 50 to 60 m3/month per 1 m structure length. In cases total month can reach up 100 m3 As monetary equivalent, terms average cost being 0.12 EUR/m3, loss one standard basin conventional dimensions  EUR 2.5 thousand (EUR 12.5 season). Originality. possibility using diagnosing conditions dams agricultural has been substantiated scientifically. high informativity making it possible rapidly increased objects. According available models evaluating systems, estimate indicators, ensuring reliability results, have substantiated. Practical value. Point determination makes focus repair renewal operations that reduce considerably time costs along increase general operation.

Response of tomato to irrigation with saline water applied by different irrigation methods and water management stratigies

In a field experiment the effects of irrigation with saline drainage water (seasonal average of 4.5 dS/m) and non-saline water (0.55 dS/m) applied by two different water management strategies (cyclic or blended saline water with non-saline water in different ratios) and two different irrigation methods (drip or furrow) were studied on growth and productivity of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum M...

The food-water nexus: irrigation water quality, risks to food safety, and the need for a systems-based preventive approach.

T his year’s World Water Day focused on the food-water nexus with the theme “Water and Food Security: The World is Thirsty Because We are Hungry.” While much of the emphasis under this theme focused on the quantities of water used for food produc tion, the quality of water is also important to that function. Water quality can also have sig nificant effects on health. In this context, the qual...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
